In order to make Luffy stronger, Rayleigh conducted harsh training on Luffy. Some of these trainings included being beaten, so he had to face beasts from all sides. This statue shows Luffy eating barbecue just as in the anime series, however he can’t drop his guard as he must always be paying attention to changes in the surrounding environment. For example, while Luffy is devouring his barbecue, Rayleigh suddenly hits Luffy by surprise. Rayleigh is more like Luffy’s life mentor. While teaching him to see and hear domineering, he also taught him how to face the difficulties of life.
